Frequently asked questions
What counts as an API call?+
Any successful request to an `/v1/*` endpoint on `api.insitive.com.au` against a live key. Cached responses served from the edge don't count against your quota. Sandbox and `ins_test_…` keys are always free.
What happens if I exceed my monthly quota?+
We don't hard-cut you off mid-month. Overages are billed at a per-call rate published in the developer portal, and you'll get usage alerts at 80% and 100% of your tier.
Can I move between plans?+
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Enterprise contracts are bespoke.
Do you offer a sandbox?+
Every tier — including Free — gets access to the mutation-safe sandbox at `sandbox.insitive.com.au`. Test keys never hit production data and don't count against quotas.
